Olefin polymer compsn. comprises an olefin polymer and 0.15-10 wt.% w.r.t. polymer of an N-substd. fatty acid amide of formula R1-CO-NH-R2 (I), in which R1 is C11-17 alkyl and R2 is C12-18 alkyl. (I) is chosen from N-lauryl lauric acid amide, N-lauryl myristamide, N-palmityl myristamide, N-lauryl palmitamide, N-myristyl palmitamide, N-palmity palmitamide, N-palmity stearamide, and N-stearyl stearamide. (I) is used in an amt. such that if the olefin polymer composition is formed by extrusion using a volatile organic blowing agent, the presence of (I) prevents freshly prepd. foam from shrinking by mor than 10% from its initiallt foamed vol. when subjected to prolonged exposure to atmospheric pressurized air at 150 F.
