PURPOSE:To obtain transfer paper superior in transferability, pressure fixability, and transportability, and near to plain paper in feel, by coating the paperbase surface of transfer paper with a coating material consisting mainly of a resin emulsion or latex with lubricating pigment particles of particle diameter in a specified range added. CONSTITUTION:Organic or inorganic pigment particles (polyolefin pigment, calcium strarate, talc, or the like) having a particle diameter of 3-20mu and lubricating or mold releasing property are used alone or together with another inorganic pigment, such as clay or CaCO3. A rubber latex or an aqueous emulsion of acrylic ester, vinyl acetate, SBR, or the like is used as a resin. 10-200pts.wt. pigment per 100pts.wt. resin, and 20-200pts.wt. inorganic pigment per 100pts.wt. lubricating pigment in pigment are contained. A pigment dispersing agent (a nonionic surfactant is proper) is added to the coating material in addition to the above components, this is coated on the paperbase surface, and dried to form transfer paper capable of forming a sharp image. |
