Starting from known liquid filters for reversible pressure direction or flow direction having non-return valves with sprung valve discs in a Graetz circuit, it is now proposed according to the invention to form the non-return valves and the connections between them as bores in a valve block (4). The assembly of such a liquid filter is considerably simplified as a result, and the pathways between the non-return valves can be shortened and designed in such a manner that as low as possible a resistance to flow results. By means of certain dimensions of the valve bores and the connection bores between them, the resistance to flow can accordingly be minimised. <IMAGE>
