A displacement sensor for detecting the positions of an actuator, in particular an actuator of fuel injection pumps, is proposed. It is advantageously possible to compensate the displacement sensor with the aid of a cylindrical pin (32) which is integrally formed on the housing of the potentiometer and can be displaced and fixed in a through bore in the wall (34) of a housing accommodating the actuator, and through the interior of which housing it is possible to adjust a compensating device of the displacement sensor from outside the housing. In a displacement sensor advantageously constructed as a rotary potentiometer, it is therefore possible to adjust contacting (15) a resistor (Ra) of the resistance section (R0, 12.Ra) of the potentiometer. <IMAGE>
