The valve body of a non-return valve is provided with throttle bores which, even when the non-return valve is closed, clear a certain throttle cross-section in order to limit, for example, the speed of a lifting piston during braking. In order to avoid damage during the discharge of the pressure-medium jet at high speed, several bores directed towards housing walls of the valve housing are provided in the valve body. <IMAGE>
