PURPOSE:To uniformly heat an entire evaporating cylinder, to perform excellent combustion, by a method wherein the evaporating cylinder is mounted in an exhaust gas passage to heat the evaporating cylinder from an entire circumference. CONSTITUTION:Mixture gas of fuel gas and the air is burnt on the surface of a heating- to-redness body 6, and exhaust gas, flowing to an exhaust cylinder 10 through an exhaust gas passage 8, is exhausted through an exhaust opening where an exhaust port 11 is interposed with a damper exhaust port 11'. In which case, exhaust gas, with which the exhaust cylinder 10 is filled, flows around the outer periphery of the base of an evaporating cylinder 1 to uniformly heat the evaporating cylinder 1 from the entire outer peripheral part. When brought to a high combustion state, exhaust gas is increased in temperature to bend a push plate 15 in the direction shown by a dashed line by means of a heat receiving plate 14 and push upward an exhaust damper 13 in the direction of an arrow mark shown by a dashed line, and an exhaust opening, where the exhaust port 11 is interposed with the damper exhaust port 11', is positioned at the upper part of an evaporating cylinder 1. Thus, high-temperature exhaust gas heats only the upper part of the evaporating cylinder 1 to reduce the heat-receiving surface of the evaporating cylinder 1, resulting in prevention of excess heating of the evaporating surface and in maintaining the evaporating cylinder at temperature approximately equal to that during low combustion.
