An apparatus plug-in component having a housing which consists of insulating material, has an insertion opening with contact pins for engaging in contact bushes in a plug-in coupling, and which has an insert for setting different connecting voltages. In a space-saving arrangement, the insert contains a contact plate (6), as a voltage selector, which allows contact to be made with different connecting voltages, via a Filbert circuit, by rotation in four 90 DEG steps about an axis at right angles to the plug-in direction of the insert. The contact plate (6) is provided on its ends in each case with a marking (10) which allows the selected connecting voltage to be identified in a viewing window (11) of the insert (5). <IMAGE>
