In a press stud part with a toothed ring attachment, a metallic annular chamber is provided on the flange which bears the male or female closing surfaces, and has a curved profile whose inside wall surface interacts with the tooth ends during the attachment operation by means of a toothed ring and bends said tooth ends over. In order that no dirt can enter the annular chamber, it is proposed to keep the entry opening of the annular chamber closed by a plastic cap through which the tooth ends pass, making their own holes, during attachment. The plastic cap is at the same time a support for the male or female closing surfaces. The annular chamber is formed by a sheet metal frame which surrounds the edge of the cap.
