The device for separating a transversely perforated continuous web of paper into individual sheets has a driven pair of draw-in rollers, a driven pair of delivery rollers with a greater rotary speed relative to the pair of draw-in rollers, and a web guide as well as a tearing aid between said pairs of rollers. The pair of draw-in rollers and the pair of delivery rollers can be arranged one above the other and the web guide is curved in the manner of an arc.
