In a tag for identifying articles, such as luggage items, use is made, as a data medium, of a label with a hole in which a spring-like fastener is attached. For the rapid and convenient connection of these components, it is proposed that a positive push-button shaped part be attached to the fastening cord whereas the hole in the label is used as a negative push-button shaped part.
