PURPOSE:To reduce an initial period injection rate and prevent the elongation of the period of injection in high speed and high load area by providing a plunger for regulating lift and an oil pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:When a high fuel pressure, introduced into the oil chamber 23 and acts into the releasing direction of lift regulation, is lower than a predetermined value, the lift of a needle valve 14 is regulated by a control plunger 19. When an injection pressure has been increased in some degree, an oil pressure in the oil pressure chamber 23 is also increased and moves the control plunger 19 into the releasing direction of lift regulation against a backup spring 21. Accordingly, the regulation of the lift is released thereafter and the needle valve 14 is lifted rapidly and arrives at the maximum lift (l). According to this method, the period of injection may be shortened. |
