PURPOSE:To improve an acceleration characteristic by allowing a subflywheel to disengage with a main flywheel by means of the action of an acceleration detecting means at engine acceleration, in a main flywheel and the sub-flywheel engaging/disengaging with each other by means of the operation of an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:A variable capacity flywheel is provided with a main flywheel mounted in a body on a crank shaft and a sub-flywheel rotatably supported on a bearing member, and both are engaged and disengaged with each other via an electromagnetic clutch. Upon controlling the field coil 12 of the electromagnetic clutch, a pulser 28 for outputting a pulse corresponding to the number of revolutions of the sub-flywheel is provided, and after its output is converted by an F-V converter 32 via a wave shaper 31, it is inputted to an operational amplifier 33 and an acceleration detector 35. And, when an H signal is outputted from the operational amplifier 33 or the acceleration detector 35, a transistor Tr1 is turned on by a duty controller 37 to conduct a current to a coil 12, and thereby the electromagnetic clutch is opened. |
