Heart valve including an annular valve body (31) having an inner wall defining a blood flow passage, a guide strut (34) including an integral pivot surface (33) extending radially inward of the valve body and a disc occluder (35) having a central aperture (36) engaged over the disc guide strut, (34) a rounded eliptical disc stop (39) extending radially inward of the valve body opposite the guide strut, (34) and angular pivot projections (32) extending radially inward of the valve body (31) and equally spaced from the guide strut (34) whereby the disc (35) pivots between occluding and non-occluding surfaces in response to downstream blood pressure gradients across the disc. |
