A power supply connecting element for mobile loads, especially caravans, consisting of a plug which is arranged in a housing provided with a cover and has a projection behind which the coupling cover engages when the coupling is pushed in, the plug (2) being held in the housing (1) such as it can pivot about its longitudinal axis, and an inclined surface (8) being arranged in the housing (1) in the pivoting region of the inserted coupling cover and in the rotation direction of the plug (2), which inclined surface makes it possible for the coupling cover to slide on during rotation of the plug in such a manner that the cover comes out of engagement with the plug projection (5). <IMAGE>
