Herbicidal title compds. I(X=H, halo, trihalomethyl; X1=H; X2=trihalomethyl, halo; Y=O, NH, S; R1,R2=H, lower alkyl, benzyl, n=1-4; Z=carboxy or its salt, ester and amide) were prepd. by reaction of II and HY(CR1R2)nZ at 120-150oC at the presence of unactive solvent. Thus, 46.2 g II(X1=H, X2=CF3, X=Cl, halo=OH) in 100ml dimethylsulboxide was mixed with 17.7g KCO3 at 60oC folloed by reation with tert-butylbromoacetate to give 104.8g I(X1=H, X2=CF3, X=Cl, Y=O, R1,R2=H, n=1,Z=CO2-tert-Bu). |
