摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent deviation in the focus of an objective lens owing to a change in temp. in an electrophoresis device for cells by using a base plate, supporting table and structural members of a photodetecting part having the same coefft. of linear thermal expansion and using the structural members in a migrating part having the coefft. of linear thermal expansion of the prescribed relation. CONSTITUTION:An electrophoresis device 1 for cells is constituted of a horizontal migrating part 2 where migration is effected in forward and backward directions, a horizontal photodetecting part 3, an objective lens 14 and a U-shaped supporting frame 4. All the materials of a supporting table 7 in the migrating part, a supporting table 6 for the photodetecting part, a base plate 5 and the respective structural members of the part 3 are carbon steels having the specified coefft. alpha1 of linear thermal expansion, and the rear plate 17 of the part 2 is formed of the similar material. The walls 9, 10, 11 of the part 2 are of aluminum. The distance from the lens 14 to a static surface 12 does not change and there is no deviation in the focus even if the temp. changes because the coeffts. of linear thermal expansion of the carbon steel and aluminum, the focal length of the lens 14 and the distance between the plate 17 and the surface 12 are main tained in a prescribed relation.
