PURPOSE:To raise a washing and sterilizing effect against an organic substance contamination and a bacterium adhering to a lens by providing an ultrasonic vibrator and its oscillating circuit in a contact lens washing tank. CONSTITUTION:A bottomed and cylindrical contact lens washing tank 1 contains a washing liquid such as water, etc. in its inside. A diameter W of the tank 1 is determined to a size which is a little larger than the diameter of a lens, for instance, about 5mm.-20mm.. An ultrasonic vibrator 2 is installed to the outside surface of a bottom plate 101 of the tank 1 in order to give an ultrasonic vibration to a washing liquid in the tank 1. As for the vibrator 2, a magnetostrictive vibrator is also known, but in case of this invention, it is constituted of an electrostrictive vibrator of a titanic acid barium compound or PZT, etc. The vibrator is driven by an oscillating circuit 3. Oscillation frequency of this circuit 3 is set to a range of 60-800kHz. The circuit 3 is driven by a battery 4. |
