PURPOSE:To obtain a recording paper setting mechanism capable of simplifying the setting operation of recording papers and also of preventing various accidents by using a link body by which to separate the head part from the periphery of a platen by rotation of a handle. CONSTITUTION:A handle cross arm plate 8' is fixed to both ends of a handle support shaft 4, one side 8'a of the plate 8' is horizontally extended across the platen shaft 3, and on the end side, a handle 9 is set. The other side 8b is extended slantly downwards and to the end side, a projection shaft 49 is attached at a right angle. When the handle 9 is lifted up, both cross arm plates 8' are turned around the support shaft 4 as a fulcrum, a link body 18' coupled in a travelling manner with the cross arm plates 8' through the projection shaft 49 moves to the position as shown by broken line while being turned, and a sliding shaft 17 is fallen down (turned) at the guide shaft 5 as a fulcrum. A printing unit 16 piercingly provided to the guide shaft 5 and the sliding shaft 17 is separated from the periphery of the platen 6. A paper press roller 12 is rotatably supported on the handle 9. |
