PURPOSE:To carry out the continuous and automatic mass-production of a high- quality purified dye suitable as an ink for writing utensils, by using a means for the preparation of a dye solution in combination with a means for controlling the concentration of the inorganic salt in said solution. CONSTITUTION:The dye powder 22 is supplied from the dye reservoir 21 to the mixing tank 24, and the prepared dye solution is fed through the supply tank 31 to the purificaton zone 41 to control the concentration of inorganic salt. For example, the salt concentration is detected by the detector 46, and when the value is higher than a preset level (preferably <=5wt%), the solution is passed through a salt-rejection filter 43 by operating the circulation pump 48 to obtain purified dye. The excess inorganic salt is discharged to the waste-salt tank 44.
