PURPOSE:A composition having thixotropic properties to enable screen printing, forming a completely imidated film on a face of semiconductor element by easy heating, obtained by blending a solution of a specific polyimide soluble in a solvent with specific fine particles of polyimide. CONSTITUTION:(A) A solution of a polyamide in a solvent is blended with (B) slurry of spherical and porous polyimide particles having heat infusibility, insolubility in solvent, <=40mum maximum average particle diameter and <=10mum average particle diameter, consisting of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid deanhydride and an aromatic polyisocyanate or powder obtained by centrifuging it. The polyamide in the component A is obtained by subjecting an acid anhydride consisting of >=75mol% 3,3',4,4'-bisphenyltetracarboxylic acid deanhydride, etc. as a main component, and a diamine containing 30-99.9mol% aromatic diamine shown by the formula I - formula III (X is SO2, CO, O, S, etc.) and 0.1-10mol% silicone diamine shown by the formula IV (R1 is methylene, etc.; R2 is methyl, etc.; X is O, or phenylene; n1 is 1 when R1 is phenylene and n1 is 3 or 4 when R1 is methylene) to polycondensation through dehydration.
