PURPOSE:To provide an antistatic material effective to prevent the deposition of dust by electrostatic charge, and capable of elongating the life of a disk when used as a mat for the turn table of phonograph, by applying a polyhydrogen alcohol derivative to the surface of a crosslinked synthetic resin foam. CONSTITUTION:For example, the surface of a hollow hemispherical pore of a crosslinked synthetic resin foam 1 such as crosslinked polypropylene foam is coated with a polyhydrogen alcohol derivative 3 such as quaternary ammonium compound to obtain the objective antistatic material.
