PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film useful for packaging, etc. having improved slipperiness, wear resistance, etc. by electrostatic application cooling, by blending a polyester containing precipitated particles having calcium and phosphorus elements with a polyester containing magnesium and phosphorus elements under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyester containing precipitated particles having calcium and phosphorus elements in a relationship of 0.7<=P/Cd<=2 is blended with (B) a polyester containing magnesium and phosphorus elements in a relationship of 0.2<=P/Mg<=0.9 in such a way that the relationship shown by the formula 0.7<= P/(Ca+Mg)<=1.2 (Ca, P, and Mg are numbers of mol% of each element of calcium compound, phosphorus compound, and magnesium compound based on total carboxylic acid components of polyester raw materials) to give a composition, which is used a raw material to give the desired film. USE:Useful for magnetic tapes, condensers, plate making, electrical insulation, film for photography, etc.
