PURPOSE:The titled composition, consisting of specific soft component particles obtained by polymerizing specific amounts of a monovinyl aromatic monomer with a low cis polybutadiene rubber, and having improved impact resistance, gloss and appearance. CONSTITUTION:A monovinyl aromatic resin composition obtained by polymerizing 88-98wt%, preferably 90-96wt% monovinyl aromatic monomer with 12- 2wt%, preferably 10-5wt% low cis polybutadiene rubber, preferably containing 5-20mol% 1,2-vinyl bond, 35-40mol% 1,4-cis bond and 45-55mol% 1,4-trans bond by adjusting the number of revolution of agitation, amount of a catalyst, amount of a molecular weight adjustor and polymerization temperature to give 0.5-1.5mu, preferably 0.7-1.3mu area average particle diameter of soft component particles obtained by the polymerization, >=30%, preferably 33-45% graft ratio and <=55%, preferably 50-45% crosslinking degree by preferably mass polymerization method or two-stage mass-suspension polymerization method.
