PURPOSE:The titled composition useful as heat-shrinkable tubes, tapes, sleeves, etc., having high heat shrinking power, improved crack resistance, obtained by blending a straight-chain low-density polyethylene by middle-pressure or low- pressure process with chlorinated polyethylene, etc. in a specific ratio, adding a specific amount of an antioxidant to the blend. CONSTITUTION:(A) 30-98pts.wt. straight-chain low-density polyethylene by middle- or low-pressure process (e.g., copolymer of ethylene and an alpha-olefin having 0.1-5.0 melt index) is blended with (B) 70-2pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene or blend of it and a branched low-density polyethylene by high-pressure method (1-35wt% chlorine content), and the blend is mixed with 0.1-5.0pts.wt. antioxidant (based on 100pts.wt. total amounts of the components A and B) to give the desired composition. USE:Welding joint parts of steel pipes, connecting material for power and communication cables, anticorrosive covering materials, etc.
