PURPOSE:To attain the talking by using a simple circuit such as shift register, changeover switch and a synchronizing clock generator or the like and calling the operator of the opposite device via an opposite facsimile device in the automatic incoming mode to call the operator of the opposite device by means of a public telephone set. CONSTITUTION:A digital request signal including a preamble in advance is set to a preset input 10 of a shift register 1 of a signal tone generator. When a telephone call is incoming from a public telephone set in this state, a called station identification signal is transmitted from the opposite facsimile device and a caller of the main device side changes over a switching terminal 6 of a changeover switch 3 from a terminal 5 to a terminal 4 by receiving the identification signal. The request signal of the input 10 is set to a register 1 by this changeover and a value set by the clock from the synchronizing clock generator 2 is applied to a PSK modulator 7. Further, a signal calling the operator of the facsimile device of the opposite device is outputted from a speaker drive circuit 8 to attain the talking with the operator of the opposite device.
