PURPOSE:To transmit simultaneously and continuously a main signal from a rotating section and a control signal from a fixed section by constituting an optical transmission system from the fixed section to the rotating section independently of the optical transmission system from the rotating section to the fixed section. CONSTITUTION:The main signal obtained on a rotating shaft is multiplexed and modulated into a PCM signal to emit a light emitting element 3. This optical signal is made to incident to a photodetector 5, where the signal is converted into an electric signal, which is demodulated separately at a PCM demodulator 10 and reproduced as the original main signal. Similarly, the control signal from the fixed setion lights plural light emitting elements 6 by using a light emitting element drive circuit 12, this optical signal is received by a photodetector 4 and given to a control circuit 11 as a continuous electric signal, and the control circuit 11 controls a PCM modulator 7 and a light emitting element drive circuit 8 in response to this input signal. |
