Flame-retardant compns. useful as elect. insulation comprise an alkylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer, a talc filler coated with zinc stearate, and flame retardant. Thus, a composition comprising ethyl acrylate-ethylene copolymer 58.9, talc coated with I 23.1, l,2-dihydro-2,3,4-trimethyl quino-line 0.6, vinyl-tris(2-mrthoxyethoxy)silane 0.2, ethylenebis(tetrabromophthalimide) flame retardant 17.2 and di-α-que-myl peroxide 1.5 wt.% was used.
