PURPOSE:To cut off a lengthy material at a desired unit length and with high parallelism of a cut-off plane by cutting off and changing the cut-off plane while holding the cut-off material at many places in its longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A cut-off material 1 is held at cross-section positions corresponding to profiles such as bending by many holders 7 on a bed 6 from the direction at a right angle to the length of each position. Cutting-off is performed in A-N planes by a cutting device moving on a slide surface 8 in the longitudinal direction of the cut-off material 1. Holders 7 continues to hold the cut-off material 1 by clamping, etc. without moving it during this time, thereby the inter-plane distance and parallelism of the cut-off planes can be assured. |
