METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SOLID TIRE FOR DRIVING ROTARY FEEDER

PURPOSE:To promote the wear resistance and durability of a solid rubber tire, by tapering the contact surface of the tire at a prescribed angle to the axis of its rotation. CONSTITUTION:The contact surface 2 of a solid rubber tire 1 for a rotated body is tapered at a prescribed angle theta2 to the axis of the rotation of the tire. The tire 1 is mounted on the main part of the rotated body so that the axis of the tire has a prescribed inclination angle theta1 to the rotating plane of the rotated body. The angles theta1, theta2 are predetermined so as to minimize the fatigue of bonding between the base band and rubber of the tire 1 under the shearing force based on the tire-axis-direction component of vertical load and equalize the wear speed of the tread rubber of the tire on the inner and portions as to the axis of rotation of the rotated body. This constitution promotes the wear resistance and durability of the tire 1.
