PURPOSE:To enhance the wear-resistant ability of rotor blades and as well to eliminate waste in, for example, the material cost, for a surface polishing and cleaning machine utilizing a shooting rotor for shooting polishing and cleaning grains, by forming the shooting surface of each rotor with a ceramic plate, and as well by forming the free end of the shooting surface in an arcuate shape. CONSTITUTION:Rotor blades 9 embedded in bases 10 are planted on one side surface of a shooting rotor 7 in a surface polishing and cleaning machine 1, radially of the rotor 7, and one side surface of the blade section 11 of each rotor blade 9 serves as a shooting surface 15. A ceramic plate 17 is secured to the shooting surface 15 through the intermediary of a damping material 16. When the shooting rotor 7 rotates at a high speed in the direction of the arrow, polishing and cleaning grains 4 are fed into between the rotor blades 9 from slits 12 in a control gage 14 of the shooting rotor 7 and impinge upon the shooting surfaces 15. Since the free end 17a of each shooting surface 15 is formed in an arcuate shape, the stress receiving area with respect to the polishing and cleaning grains 4 impinging upon the free end 17a is increased so that stress concentration may be prevented. Further,the damping material 16 relieves shocks by the polishing and cleaning grains 4, and therefore, the life of the entire rotor blades 9 may be remarkably increased. |
