The immobilisation device comprises a vest worn by a patient, in which are holders for a stay system. This system holds a main ring at a distance above the vest, the ring passing around the head of the patient. The vest has left (10) and right (12) side halves which (at the top) are releasably connected to the front and rear sides by transverse beams (14), and by a tension band (20) at the bottom. - The beams, via the stay system (30), support the main ring (40). The latter comprises a divided strip-shaped ring with the strip ends overlapping each other, enabling the circumference of the ring to be varied. Lock components (48) fit through slots (46) in the ring band ends to lock the ring in its adjusted position.(1) |
