PURPOSE:To utilize as much as possible a function provided with a terminal device by transferring address information from a line exchange to a terminal device to be called to a storage device and allowing the storage device to declare the receiving mode in response to the address information. CONSTITUTION:If a terminal device 12 is busy in transmitting a data from a terminal device 11 to the terminal device 12, the line exchange 20 transmits a call signal to a storage device 30. The exchange 20 reads dial information of the terminal device 12 to be called stored in an RAM of a control system 25 and transmits this information to the storage device 30. When this dial information is received and detected by a communication controller 32, the storage device 30 stores this dial information in an RAM in a CPU31 and discriminates the kind of device of the terminal device to be called based on this dial information, sets an optimum receiving mode, inserts this receiving mode to a discriminating signal of a non-standard device and transmits it to the transmission terminal device 11 together with a digital identification signal. Thus, the receiving mode is declared by the storage device 30 in this way. |
