PURPOSE:To measure time filler (idle time) by means of a communication controller itself by receiving a data transmitted from one line at other line in reflecting connection and measuring the time filler by a diagnostic command. CONSTITUTION:A central control unit (CPU)1 issues the diagnostic command 4 to a line A1 of the communication controller (CCU)3 and a write system (WTF) command 5 to a line A2. A command corresponding to line is fetched in a memory corresponding to line of the CCU3 and a character code 7 is transmitted sequentially from a memory 2 while a time filler is added after a specific character to the line A2 by the execution of the WTF command. Then, the line A2 is folded to the line A1 and the line A1 is processed in accordance with the diagnostic command. A time X1 of the CCU measured by the diagnostic command from the command start to the code receiving, a receiving code, code receiving times X2, X4 and the time filler X3 are stored in an area 6 of the memory 2. |
