PURPOSE:To improve the capacity storage performance of a nickel cadmium storage battery by setting the temperature of the formation liquid to 30-45 deg.C at the formation of a positive electrode plate and applying recharge at the formation of a negative electrode plate after full discharge thereof. CONSTITUTION:When the plate of a nickel cadmium storage battery is treated, the ion nitrate in the plate is easily discharged by setting the temperature of the formation liquid within the range 30-45 deg.C at the formation of the positive electrode plate, while charge/discharge are performed at the formation of a negative electrode plate. Then, said plate that is fully discharged is recharged at a fixed rate for the actual capacity of the plate. As a result, the amount of the ion nitrate contained in the positive electrode plate can be suppressed to a low standard as much as possible and the effect can be increased by the formation of the negative electrode plate and then the capacity storage performance under the condition of being naturally left alone for a long time can be improved. |
