PURPOSE:To prevent generation of an accumulation of a developer in the vicinity of the center of an electrode by prviding an electrode plate so as to be opposed to an electrode group for moving a developer, and applying a prescribed potential. CONSTITUTION:An electrode group 20 of a toner carrying body 19 is scanned successively by bias voltage, and a nonmagnetic toner 17 of a developer is moved and carried. An electrode plate 21 is provided so as to be opposed to an electrode group 20 of an inclined part 19b of the carrying body 19 in these electrode groups 20, and when DC bias voltage of 1/2, etc. of DC bias voltage applied to the electrode group 20 is applied to the electrode plate 21, a line of electric force is distributed densely to the center part of each electrode 20, and also the line of electric force extends to the upper part, too. Accordingly, an intense electric field is generated not only between the electrodes but also in the vicinity of the center of the electrode, the toner 17 moves actively, and it is prevented that the toner 17 is accumulated in the center part of each electrode. As a result, a good and exact transfer of a developer can be executed. |
