<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the relative distance between a cassette and a cylinder and to miniaturize a magnetic recording/reproducing device by completing the tape loading action having no interference between a magnetic tape and an upper cylinder after turning the upper cylinder to a position where the outer circumferential surface excepting the deleted area of the upper cylinder abut on the magnetic tape in a tape loading mode. CONSTITUTION:When a VTR is switched to a tape loading mode, an upper cylinder 34 is turned and fixed. A magnetic tape 20 is shifted to a position C. Then the loading mode is changed to shift tape guides 18, 19, 35, 22 and 24, inclined posts 25 and 26 and a pinch roller 21 along a prescribed route and to fix them there respectively. In this case, a rotor 14 is turned clockwise for protection of a magnetic tape under loading. The tape 20 is positioned at the upper side of the rotor 14 before the tape is loaded. When the tape loading is over, the tape 20 is taken up to the cylinder 34 as well as to a lower cylinder 2 by means of said tape guides and inclined posts.</p> |
