PURPOSE:To enable the monitoring and period measurement of neutron flux in a neutron source and an intermediate area with a sufficient covering of SRM and IRM functions by outputting a logarithmic Campbell signal and a logarithmic counting signal with a switch to measure the neutron flux and the period by these output signals. CONSTITUTION:A neutron flux in a neutron source area is monitored by a neutron source area monitoring section 40 and that in the intermediate area by an intermediate area monitoring section 50. In addition, a logarithmic Campbell signal from a logarithmic Campbell section 60 and a logarithmic counting signal from a neutron source area monitoring section 40 are outputted with a switch by a WRM switching section 70 and a neutron fluxes in the neutron source area and the intermediate area and the period are measured by the output signals. This enables the monitoring of neutron fluxes in the neutron source area and in the intermediate area without altering the conventional SRM and IRM functions. Furthermore, as the logarithmic counting signals and logarithmic Campbell signals are sent continuously to a period measuring section 81 from the WRM switching section 70, the monitoring of the period can be done in the intermediate area as well. |
