PURPOSE:To provide a heat accumulator which can accumulate the heat ranging from a relatively low temperature to a relatively high temperature by employing multiple number of latent heat accumulating materials having different melting points. CONSTITUTION:Heat insulating containers 1, 2 and 3 are provided with heat exchangers 11, 12 and 13 which are conduit for a thermal medium to flow in and out to input and output the thermal energy as well as to exchange the heat. The delivery port for the thermal medium of said heat exchanger 11 is connected to the feed port of the thermal medium of the heat exchanger 12 through a three way valve 21, while the delivery port for the thermal medium of the heat exchanger 12 is connected to the feed port for the thermal medium of the following exchanger 13 likewise through a three way valve 22. The heat insulating container 1 is filled with a heat accumulating material 31 having the lowest melting point and the heat insulating container 3 with a heat accumulating material 33 having the highest melting point while the heat insulating container 2 is filled with a heat accumulating material 32 having the melting point inbetween. When a heat output is desired for domestic heating etc. from the afore-described heat accumulator, a heat output at a suitable temperature is obtained by controlling the three-way valves connecting respective heat exchangers. |
