PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a seal portion at the time of inserting a shaft sealing seal in a shaft by providing a projecting portion on a seal lip. CONSTITUTION:A shaft sealing seal has a reinforcing ring 2 buried in a mount portion 1 formed of rubber elastic material, and a circular seal lip 3 is extended from one end of the mount portion 1 in such a manner as to incline with respect to a shaft, so that the forward end corner portion of the inner periphery forms a seal portion 4. A projecting portion 5 is solidly formed near the seal portion 4 on the peripheral surface of the seal lip 3. When a shaft sealing seal 10 is inserted in a shaft 6 from a spline 11 large diameter portion 7, the seal portion 4 floats from the large-diameter portion 7 to be out of contact with each other, so that the seal 10 can be passed, with the seal portion 4 out of contact with the corner portion of the spline 11. |
