PURPOSE:To form simply a dye image by heating in a state in which water is not practically contained by releasing a movable dye when photosensitive silver halide is reduced to silver by heating and by transferring the dye to a dye fixing layer under pressure. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contg. photosensitive silver halide, a binder and a compound which takes part in a reaction for reducing the photosensitive silver halide to silver at a high temp. to produce or release a movable dye on a support is heated in a state in which water is not practically contained after or during imagewise exposure to form imagewise the movable dye. The movable dye is transferred under pressure and fixed to the dye fixing layer of a dye fixing material adhered to said photosensitive material to form an image. By applying pressure, the movable dye can be uniformly transferred, and the transfer efficiency can be increased. |
