PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of installment of a standby machine and to reduce the cost, by giving the performance of the standby machine to another console corresponding to one console. CONSTITUTION:When a fault occurs in a console 32 when a sub-slave CPU 16 outputs a message to the console 32, the CPU 16 logs the message to be outputted to the console 32 in a message loading file 36 on a magnetic disk 34. The CPU 16 informs the nearest system 14 of that the console 32 is down. Another CPU 14 outputs a message expressing that the console 32 of the CPU 16 is down to its own console 30. Thereafter, the CPU 16 logs various messages to be outputted to the console 32 in the message logging file 36 of the magnetic disk 34 until the console is restored. |
