PURPOSE:To shorten the working time and to improve the efficiency of a wire bonding device, by driving an XY table so that the coordinate value of a target position of the wire bonding device coincides with the counted value of a synchronizing pulse generated by the rotation of a motor driving the XY table. CONSTITUTION:When the kind of semiconductor devices is changed at a wire bonding device, an XY table 6 is at the absolute origin and a pulse number corresponding to the relative distance from the absolute origin to a kind-based coordinate origin is set in a counter 12 and the counter is set to a subtracting mode. Movement of the XY table from the absolute origin to the coordinate origin of an indicated kind is made by driving a motor 14 until the counted value of the counter 12 becomes 0 (zero), and the movement to each bonding location is made by driving the motor 14 until the coordinate data of the bonding location coincides with the counted value of the counter 12. By means of the counted value of the counter, detection of deviation in location can be made always, and therefore, correlating works with the absolute location after all movement is completed becomes unnecessary. |
