<p>PURPOSE:To enable to use for highly accurate correction of the supercharging pressure, by keeping relief pressure constant by urging a bellows for applying a constant pressure in a relief chamber onto a valve body for opening and closing a valve port of a safety valve disposed in the intake system on the downstream side of a supercharger. CONSTITUTION:The suction side of the compressor 1a of a supercharger 1 is communicated, via a duct 2, with an air-flow meter 4 disposed just under an air cleaner 3, while the discharge side of the compressor 1a is communicated with an engine body 8 via an intake pipe 5, a throttle body 6 and an intake manifold 7. An exhaust pipe 9 extended from the engine body 8 is communicated with a turbine 1b of the supercharger 1. Further, a safety valve 20 is attached to the intake manifold 7. The safety valve 20 has a vlave port communicated with the intake manifold 7 and a valve body for opening and closing the valve port, and a bellows for applying a constant pressure to the valve body is urged in a relief chamber. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to keep the relief pressure constant against change in conditions of atmospheric pressure, etc.</p> |
