PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of the resulting sliding contact material by adding small amounts of Sb and one or more among In, Ti, Tl and Zr to an alloy material having a specified composition consisting of Au, Ag and Cu. CONSTITUTION:This sliding contact material is obtd. by adding, by weight, 1-10% Sb and 0.1-3% one or more among In, Ti, Tl and Zr to an alloy material consisting of 61.5-63.5% Au, 28-30% Ag and 7.5-9.5% Cu without changing the ratio in the composition. To the alloy material may be further added 0.01-0.5% Fe group metal. This sliding contact material has superior wear resistance and can give a brush contact having contact resistance equal to that of a brush contact made of a conventional sliding contact material. |
