PURPOSE:A slurry composition that is formed by dispersing a high concentration of pitch in an aqueous medium using a dispersing agent and a heavy oil, thus showing a low slurry viscosity, despite high concentration, to facilitate transportation and spray combustion and high uniformity with very rare sedimentation. CONSTITUTION:A dispersant and a heavy oil are used to effect the dispersion of pitch in an aqueous dispersion in a concentration of at least 50wt%. The pitch preferably softens at over 50 deg.C, preferably over 60 deg.C. The dispersant is, in case of 70-80wt% pitch slurry, preferably a surfactant. The heavy oil boils in the range from 350 to 565 deg.C and has a H/C weight ratio of 0.12-0.15, preferably A heavy oil is used.
