PURPOSE:A roving winding mechanism, having a rotating body, provided passively and rotatably on supporting rails rising and lowering relatively to a bobbin rail 3, having a roving guide arm thereon, and capable of winding a roving of only length fed from a drafting part and preventing fluctuation in count. CONSTITUTION:A roving machine having a bobbin rotating spindle 7 provided on a bobbin rail 3 rising and lowering positively along guide rails (1a) and supporting rails 12 provided parallel to the supporting rails 12 above the bobbin rail 3. The supporting rails 12 have a hole 14 somewhat larger than the diameter of a fully packaged bobbin provided coaxially with the bobbin rotating spindle 7, and an annular rotating ring 20 having a roving guide arm 21 is mounted in the hole 14. The bobbin rotating spindle 7 is rotated, and a roving fed from a drafting part 2 is guided by the roving guide arm 21 while raising and lowering slowly the bobbin rail 3 and wound onto a bobbin (B). The rotating body 20 and the roving guide arm 21 are passively rotated by the roving, which is wound by only a length fed from the drafting part 2. |
