Inner system of floating pockets for fine-leather and travelling bags. This system is characterised by a succession of storage pockets suspended in the upper part of the bag, which system joins one gusset of the bag to another. This system may be composed of one, two, three, four or five pockets, etc., according to the size of the bag. These pockets may be produced in flexible material: coated fabric or plastic, or flexible leather, etc., for flexible bags. They may be produced in a more rigid material for travelling bags, for example. This system of pockets is itself fastened either by stitching or by rivets to a solid and flexible ribbon (of the petersham or bias-binding type). It may also be fastened to a rigid rod on rigid bags with a wide opening, for example, or in travelling bags. The ribbon (or fastening rod) is longer than the system of pockets; it projects beyond each side of the system, enabling it to be fastened to the gussets of the bag in its upper part. The pockets may be of equal size or of different size according to the use which it is desired to make of them. The figure shows the system of pockets mounted in series. In this case, it is shown with three pockets mounted as a strip. <IMAGE>
