<p>Title compds. (I; R3, R4 = H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy; X,Y = Cl, F,Br;Z = H2 Me, Me2; n=0-1), useful as herbicides, were prepd. by the reaction of VI and V obtained from IV and phosgen. IV was prepd. by the reaction of II with III. Thus, 25g 3-(2'-2'-dichloto-methylcyclopropylmethoxy)aniline was dissolved in C6H6 and satd. with HCL(g) and a 12.5% soln. of phosgen in C6H6 was added. The soln. was refluxed for 3 hr to give 3-(2',2'-dichloro-l'-methylcylopropylmethoxy)phenyl isocyanate, followed by treatment with dimethylamine(g) gave 22g I.</p> |
