PURPOSE:To enhance printing efficiency, by a method wherein a spacing-controlling circuit associated with the movement of a printing head is started simultaneously with completion of printing. CONSTITUTION:Printing data D1 fed from a processor 2 are stored into a buffer B1 through a contact (a) of a changing-over part 3. On the other hand, a direction signal L or R generated from a discriminating and controlling part 6 started by a printing command C is fed to the spacing-controlling part 7, whereby a printing part 5 is started to move, and after a predetermined velocity V0 is reached, printing of the printing data D1 stored in the buffer B1 is started. The changing-over part 3 is changed over to the side of a contact (b) by a changing-over command A fed from the part 6, so that the next printing data D2 fed from the processor 2 are stored in a buffer B2. When printing of the printing data D1 stored in the buffer B1 is completed (time t2), a printing completion signal E is generated, and a starting signal F is outputted from a detecting part 9. By this, a discriminating and controlling means in the part 6 is operated. |
