PURPOSE:To put a rack in smooth operation in the advancing direction by providing a specific deviated-load supporting-member to the rack, in a titled equipment where a member for supporting rack freely slidably is provided, parallelly to a rolling center line, to the side of the center line. CONSTITUTION:A pusher 50 which moves from a bar releasing position to a bar holding position and pushes the rear end M2 of a mandrel bar M when the bar M is supported by a roll table 4 is positioned on the rolling center line A at the inlet side of a mill, a holding lever 15 which turns in the same manner as the pusher 50 turns and holds the end M2 in cooperation with the pusher 50, and a retainer head 11 on which respective devices 47, 29 for driving the pusher 50 and the lever 15 are mounted are attached to the front end of a supporting member 6 of a rack 5 capable of moving along the line A. Further the member 6 of the rack 5 is provided parallelly to the line A to the side of it, and a cam 43 for turning the lever 15 to the releasing position is provided onto the member 6. Here, a deviated-load supporting-member 57 which is in contact with the vertical guide-surface of the member 6 and is horizontally movable, is attached to the rack 5. In this way, the rack 5 is prevented from being bent into a bow-shape by a reaction and increasing its sliding resistance, when a hollow pipe is elongated by advancing the rack 5, the bar M, and the hollow pipe, etc. |
